Hi Brian, Rosie and Esther,
I was diagnosed with MND in January this year,a great shock for my family and me,I have been told I have it but what type they don't know. I think it's a wait and see job.
Im 69 coming up Ex Coldstream guards so you will realise I've always carried myself well and paid great attention to my dress and straight back.
So far MND has affected my breathing and back, but my upper limbs speech and swallowing are fine, the team at the local hospital has been great and can't do enough for us, and when I ask how long the answer is always the same...we don't know different people react differently so I can only take each day as it comes.
I bought a invalidity buggy so I can still get out of the house with my best friend Bramble my cocker spaniel. I think she is totally confused and can't understand why I dont take her on her walks anymore without the bugggie.
I see you have visited Dubai Rosie - we lived there from 1977 to 1981. I worked on the Port of Jebel ali great people and a great place to be.
Hope you will keep in touch as I am still trying to get my head around this terrible news .
Take care
Best regards
Barry K
Im so pleased you are all living life to the full and not letting mnd win. My dad lived and fought mnd with great courage. You all seem to be doing the same. I am so pleased to see this. Wishing you all lots of fun

Hey just to say my grandad passed away in the early hours of this morning with MND. Hope you are all well and live your lives to the full.
Love and hugs

Hi Rosie, so glad you have enjoyed your holiday in Dubai and you are following your own philosophy "live each day as though it was your last"! Also glad you have such good friends and family to help you achieve this. I am following your blog with great interest.
